Our Students Benefit from Educational Opportunities in Ohio’s Grape and Wine Industry

Every year, usually in February, the Ohio Grape Industries Committee, The Ohio State University/OSU Extension/OARDC, and the Ohio Wine Producers Association put together an excellent educational program for grape growers and wine makers alike. This conference, in addition to providing pesticide credits, provides up-to-date research in the Ohio grape and wine industry, which aims to keep up with modern standards and knowledge to grow high-quality fruit and craft excellent wine.

Our Viticulture and Enology students can (and do!) apply for scholarship funds to be able to attend this valuable conference. To receive their funding, students must provide a summary of the conference and describe what aspects were most beneficial to them. We feel their responses are definitely worth sharing, so we are posting them here.
